InnovaLab´s Innovation Journey 7

We believe that transformational learning starts with one, to witness yourself; one-to-one, to build relationships; one-to-many, to propose and get feedback; many-to-many, to network; and many-to-one, to address corporate and social strategies and policies to meet society´s needs, interest and benefits.

InnovaLab´s Innovation Journey 6

InnovaLab, a member of the European Network of Living Labs, experiments with alternative learning systems in social design settings for lifelong learning and human development. InnovaLab has years of experience building prototype environments that then enables clients to build their own learning communities, places and networks. Ascertained from grass-root communities, universities, governments, and industry groups, we have learned that success requires the multi-disciplined strengths, capabilities and resources of the whole team, its community and environment and not just a few innovation leaders.

InnovaLab´s Innovation Journey 5

Based on Joseph Campbell´s Mythical Story Structure, the modules bring into relief an integral and evolutionary way of learning: sensing fully, storytelling, expressive, visualization, constructive activities, prototyping, role-playing, innovation games, evolutionary systems design and artscience. As they proceed through the modules learners justify their design choices based on the innovation principles they have learned by experience. The facilitator´s role consists of providing constant feedback, coaching and encouragement.

InnovaLab´s Innovation Journey 4

The TCB Innovation Journey, its techniques and tools set the stage to: 1.) challenge learners to explore existing beliefs, 2.) expose them to new ideas, 3.) and assign tasks which encourage teams to re-evaluate, redefine and apply their emerging understanding.
With an opportunity to take charge of their own lives, learners must consider their own transformation in context of innovation processes while witnessing emerging beliefs.

InnovaLab´s Innovation Journey 3

The TCB Innovation Journey modules are designed in a constructivist approach. The learning objectives follow participatory, situated, design and evolutionary learning frameworks to accompany active learners. In this way, learners are able to construct their own knowledge beliefs within a content domain based on innovation culture. To build an innovation culture the constructivist process consist of formulating very broad learning objectives with the facilitator and group to negotiate more specific learning goals.

The TCB Innovation Journey is a series of conversations, workshops, experiences, field-trips and ethnographic treks to explore innovation. Our activities are based on the exploratory, participatory and interpretive ways of knowing in Serious Games. Evolutionary Systems Design is the formal modelling framework we use to continuously design task-oriented group processes targeted on aligning values, design/development, enterprising and reflecting on meaning perspectives.
